At Daystar Recovery Center, our clients depend on our services, and we depend on our staff to serve them well. Join Daystar Treatment Center to begin your career while helping others discover healthier lives. We are currently looking for part-time direct care staff with the possibility of full-time immediately. Schedules include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

These are the following job descriptions:

• Monitor facility and client activity and perform daily facility duties assigned during shifts.
• Support client program goals under the direction of the treatment team.
• Monitoring client hygiene and client behaviors and completing documentation.
• Administering drug testing procedures to clients, which includes UA’s and breathalyzing.
• Administer medications to clients per Daystar’s medication management policy.
• Being proficient in CPR/AED/1st Aid and know when to use it.
• Assist in transporting clients to and from functions and/or appointments.
• Participate in yearly staff training as required by the state of Minnesota.
• Follow the MDH (Minnesota Department of Health) requirements for food prep and cooking, detailed housekeeping, and cleaning.
• Communicate with on-call personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be free of substance use for at least one year immediately preceding employment and must sign a statement attesting to the fact.
• Must pass a background check.
• Knowledge of the philosophy of the 12-step recovery program.
• CPR/AED/1st Aid Certification (can train after hiring)
• Medication Management Certification (can train after hiring)
